The Raspbian Package are the software you can install on to your Raspberry Pi for free using the apt-get command. The browsable list of software available as packages is available on RaspberryConnect in the software section. Later this year a new version of Raspbian will be released. Raspbian Stretch will replace Raspbian Jessie. The package lists what software versions will be available on each distribution.
